The objective of the SPaCe project is to propose an intelligent use of the on-board video systems to provide advanced services on board, to the passengers on the ground, to transport service managers and to maintenance companies.
In particular the SPaCe project will focus on the realization of:

• a system based on artificial intelligence for assessing the internal condition of vehicles with passengers on board (rail and road);
• a supervision and control system of the vehicle fleet in real time, dedicated to optimizing the average number of passengers per vehicle;
• an on-board device (On Board Unit – OBU) able to interconnect nodes and sensors within the vehicle’s LAN (using wired and / or wireless infrastructures), to other vehicles and ground stations and to offer basic services for the functioning of the network itself with high self-configuration capacity
